Enjoying the family cottage our whole life, it was time to plan our retirement dream. Should we renovate the 1928 building or build new ?
We decided to build new but what kind of structure? Modular, timber frame, hybrid, log or conventional. We visited many builders, attended many seminars all over Ontario but decided on a conventional low maintenance build. After deciding on a modified Beaver home design the Taylor Creek III we needed to find an experienced builder who understood not only the build but our unique property on a point of land on Lake Scugog surrounded by water on 3 sides.
We met Rick and Kevin who showed us the exceptional quality of their subdivision and custom homes. It was Rick and Kevin who sold us on their abilities when they visited the property and suggested how to position the house on the lot with a view up the river.
